Varicose / Spider Vein Treaments

Varicose Veins are the twisted bulging veins that can cause pain, swelling, and aching in the legs. They are caused from faulty valves in the veins that allow the blood to flow back downward to the legs resulting in bulging veins.

There are several options for treatment including vein stripping, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, and endovenous laser therapy. However, vein stripping often has more down time requiring anesthesia and hospitalization.

EVLT (Endovenous Laser Therapy) is quick, minimally invasive laser procedures that leaves no scar and can be performed in the office. A thin laser fiber is inserted into the faulty vein and the laser energy seals off the vein eliminating the vein at the bulging source. Treatment generally takes less then 1 hour. Published clinical studies show that EVLT has 98% initial success rate with excellent long-term results.

Because varicose veins considered medical issue, some insurance will cover for the procedure.
